Ways for k/t sin to MF.

I have a somewhat decent clvl 80 k/t sin:

Tal Rasha's Death Mask

Lionheart Mesh Armor

Black or Heart of Oak Runeword

Rhyme Grim Shield

2 Bartucs on switch

Venom Grip

String of Ears

Upped Goblin Toe.

Eye of Etlich

2 Manald Heal

2 Trap GCs

20 DTalon

20 DS

20 LS

12 CBS

1 Shadow Master

1 Venom

1 Psychic Blast

1 Fade and BoS

1 Tiger Strike and Cobra Strike

This set up gets me quick kills but the MF is only 25%

What modifications or items would you guys recommend to improve MF?|||Tal Armor + Belt. You also don't need that much mana leech, so you could get nagels instead of the Manalds as well.|||thanks got the mask and belt. Just gonna run the pits to find the armor. I only play Single Player. I have a spare Skullder's but it has no resists to protect me.|||Quote:

If your run just the Pits resists are not that important. Doesn't hurt to try Skullder's for a few runs anyway. |||Shako is good if you can find one...they seem to drop a lot for me. I've seen a lot more Shako's than I have tals armor but that might just be good luck on my part.

I ran Andy a lot and found a few. I would clear catacombs, I actually had one pop when I opened one of those casket things. So try and open up anything you see down there. I like clearing places, and not just running straight to the bosses. Some of my best finds are from clearing areas and not bosses. It's also a lot more fun too.

The Life/Mana/+skills/DR/MF on Shako are all awesome mods for a K/T.|||Honestly - MF is overrated. And I mean this considering I use to fixate over the MF numbers. I can count on a single hand the items valued at the price of an high rune. Unless you're playing SP and need to find it yourself, I wouldn't focus much on mf at all. More important is killing speed (and enjoying the killing) as it's ultimately a game of numbers. I've found several sojs since I first started playing years ago (on and off) and yet still have yet to see a tal plate drop for me in game. Since I came back I've found my very first wisp, second mara's (ironically same res), and several shakos. But things I used to find in relative abundance (wartravs, chance guards, skuldre's Ire ) I have yet to see. Difficulty plays a role, but really there are soo many factors...

A trapper can fit more mf typically as she relies more upon plus skills, but a kicker should tailor her gear towards melee as it serves the primary source of your initial bodies for DS.

Ah I just saw you play SP. If you want to focus on MF, it's hard to avoid the need of a Sorc, at least for a time as they can get away with things most classes can't, with the inherent teleport and the assortment of ranged attacks. But if you want to just play your sin (believe me I know the feeling) then don't pressure yourself into finding anything and just enjoy your character. You'll have a better time even if you don't find whatever you may be looking for.|||Actually I have a lvl 85 Fishymancer with around 550+ MF(PTopaz Shako, PTopaz Skullders, 40 Chance Guards, Goldwrap, 28 Nagaelrings, 37 War Travs, Gull Dagger, Blade of Alibaba with one Ist, Gheed's Fortune and a Splendor Grim Shield) but It kills so slowly. I don't plan on getting my sin to that high MF, but I do want just get enough to compliment its killing speed. I'd ne happy with only 150 for my sin just so I can find some uniques without being a dedicated MFer.|||Killing so slowly - does it justify what you're finding? I would assume not. The problem with loading up on mf is it is the higher you go, the slower you kill, meaning less possible total drops. Sure, its great if you have high mf and the uniques and rares that pop are actually worthwhile, but what if its all useless? In that time you could have killed more monsters increasing your chances of finding what you really want.

I have over 300mf on my sorc, so the majority of what drops from act bosses is yellow at least, but even when its not, maybe one out of 50 runs might produce something worth keeping - and if that's the case, how much longer if I killed even slower?

Really, the hardest thing about mf is to continue doing it - because let's face it, its repetitive, and anyone on the realms can tell you about the bots everywhere. For a kick trapper, there aren't many uniques I'd be concerned about since I'd be shooting for more runewords, which aren't affected by mf at all.|||K/T use maybe 2 runewords. o.O The rest are unique.

Balancing MF and kill speed is easy even on a K/T. Granted, it's the only time I'd find it worth it to use Shako + LWPB. Add an upped wartrav's, you have easily 200+ with hardly a dent in damage. AoE takes a hit though.|||Quote:

LastWish/chains of honor (and infinity if you have a penchant for trapping but he's single player) vs finding everything else ----which takes longer to find ?

But the nice thing about a kicker vs a trap is the lack of dependence on pretty +item gear. It's a lot easier to find the uniques/set pieces vs runes.
