Which assassin is for me?

[:1]Howdy, long time no speak Diablo community - I haven't played for absolutely ages and am just getting back into the game now.

I was lucky enough to be given a full set of high level sorceress equipment when i started and thus have been able to magic find a lot to get a foothold in the world of Diablo again.

I have never made an assassin before, and they really interest me - i've always been a massive fan of casters, so this may (or may not) be quite a big change.

My sorceress is Lightning specced at the moment, so i'm not sure a trapsin would be the way forward (although I could simply swap gear I assume)

WW Sin looks like fun, but how viable is it outside of PvP? All the references I see seem to be PvP related, I don't expect to be able to carry a group of people through an 8 player Baal game or similar, just kill my way through places relatively quickly.

Are any of the Melee builds suitable in that respect?|||You can't really go wrong with a Kick/Trapper. It combines melee with casting.|||WW sins aint that viable outside of pvp since they dont have that high light dmg on traps and i've noticed that venom doesnt deal that much dmg on mosnters either. But in pvp these seems to be fun to play (never played one seems like fun )|||With Infinity (or any other gear to make sure you hit consistently) a WW-sin is just as effective as a kick/trapper, since in both cases you're limited by how fast Death Sentry can kill things. With ~3 players in the game it's just as good as any of the best builds out there.|||One of the most fun assassins I played is a rift-a-sin. It's like a mix between a kick and trapper... and at the same time you kick, you unleash a bunch of frozen orbs for good measure (using Rift).

It's mostly a different flavour of a kick assassin, but you have traps for versatility. If you're good at issuing a lot of actions in a short burst, you'll be doing lots of crazy damage.

This build is very cool for PvM.

I doubt it's that great for PvP since I don't play PvP.

You can also do some equipment switchups to do ubers, but you might want to use a Pally for that anyway. It's possible though.
