cloak of shadow vs ubers

i've read it both ways from mulitiple sites

does it lower their def or not?|||Quote:








-% Enhanced Defence is applied by Cloak of Shadows, Battle Cry and Conviction: provided the target has no +% Enhanced Defence, -100% ED will reduce its defence to zero (so level 26 BC effectively applies Ignores Target Defence to targets with no +% ED). Cloak of Shadows applies to Champion, Unique and Super Unique monsters, but not boss monsters.

-% Target Defence from items is applied after % ED: it's still fully effective against normal, minion, Champion and Unique monsters (so -100% TD from four Eth runes effectively applies ITD to these targets), but its effectiveness is halved against Super Unique and boss monsters, and other players.
