Cloak of shadows in Uber Tristram?

I've almost finish my uber kicksin and amwas wondering whether cloak of shadows works on the minions (also does it blind them?). I know that it doesn't blind some monsters. Also is it worth putting points into death senetry? Because looking at videos it looks like the corpes dissappear so no corpse explosion and thE lighting damage is rubbish. So should i max out CoS in order to recieve less damage and lower defences?

Thanks!|||Even if CoS is useful, it shouldn't be maxed. While it does effectively blind enemies (good vs the mana burners), it over rides your life tap. The defense bonus won't shrug off enough hits to make it worth it.

DS is still useful, but to a much smaller degree. Corpses do stay, but it's roughly 10-20% (not based on any facts or game knowledge, just from runs I've personally done). The monsters tend to be either PI or Fire Immune (with 50+ Physical DR), so it's still not as devastating as normal. While its Lightning damage is bad, LS's isn't when synergized well. The mass clear you'd normally get from DS instead works with LS. They cut through the specters and ghouls very well.|||corpses do stay occasionally but I'd guess it's a bug as most Uber runs I do the enemies disappear as soon as they die.|||CoS is very very god in Uber Tristram. You don't need to max it, but the enemy defense debuff is great for connecting hits to keep life tap etc. active. It was essential for me beating Trist.
