What is wrong?!?

[:1]Alright so I've done alot of looking around trying to figure out why I am having such a problem fighting in pubs.

Essentially Im having a really hard time taking anyone down. entire volleys of traps arent taking other players more then half way down. even though my damage is at 11k.

The other issue I'm having is that I seem to be really really squishy. Dying very quickly even in comparison to other trap sins I see around me.

In one instance all my traps hit another trap sin at once and took him down around 1/4 of the way. I on the other hand took only two hits from his traps before i was laying in a steaming pile of electrocuted meat in the grass.

heres my info so hopefully someone can spot the problem.

Thanks! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.|||9 unused skills?|||Lighting damage has a large range, so there's always a chance if being unlucky. If you score an average hit of lets just say 6k, to be generous, that is only 1k before resists. If they have 75% resistance that's only 250 damage, if they have higher resists, or any mdr, you can pretty much get your damage reduced down to nothing. Thats the problem with playing any elemental build.|||Kognition, most current pvp trappers use dual claw builds so that they can take advantage of claw block and fade. This tends to make them very durable for a 'caster' build and can also give them more damage. It might be what you're missing.|||Like kestegs said, elemental damage suffer greatly from both PvP damage penalty and high resistances. Even then, someone with only 75% lightning resistance will still hurt plenty from 11K traps. If they're packing absorb and + max lightning resistance, which is rather common in public games, there's not much your trapper can do.

It seems your equipment doesn't grant you max resistances in hell minus Anya reward quests. Unless you have quite a few resistance small charms I'm assuming you use fade to fill the gap? Trap laying speed is dependent on your attack speed and with BoS-less HOTO flail, that doesn't look too good either. I doubt you'll be blocking much with spirit monarch- chargers, BvCs, etc will hit you with little problem.

You have two routes to go: continue on with weapon/shield or go claw/claw.

W/S offers greater gear flexibility and also survivability against physical damage builds.(Stormshield anyone?) C/C offers greater damage and the ability to block almost every attack in the game. Of course, you can go both routes by stashing extra items for specific match-ups.

You can also consult the PvP forum for guides and additional information.|||You shouldn't fight in pubs. Barfights might seem fun until someone loses an eye.|||you also seem to not use a shadow master or what ever the one is called. they help to stun and provide a second target to get the heat at least a little bit off of you

besides that its the usual and what the others already said: ur damage can be (completely) negated by sorbing and res stacking. ur gear seems to be more PvM orientated.|||thankyou all for the advice. Unfortunately i lost nearly all my gear to a restat glitch. It's going to be a while before the trap sin is up and running again, but I think I'll go with the duel claws next time.
