This is a bare bones "outline" on what i feel is the best way to "strap-a-bow-to-it-and-see-what-happens". Im writing it up cause there is 3/5's of sweet hell all online and what i did find was rather dated. So with out further adue here we go.
The whole idea behind this is for players who want something different, fun and challenging. I will be giving an outline of what i have found to work with a bow and if i dont cover it then i'm not gonna use it.
Due to the nature of this outline, it can be easily changed for either pvm/pvp/ladder/non-ladder or single player so go crazy and have fun with it.
STATS & SKILLS:-
STR enough for gear
DEX enough for gear + what your comfertable spending (after your life totals are alright back fill untill you have no more)
VIT season to taste
NRG a pinch never hurt
One point in all prereqs
Burst of Speed - Max
this will get your Rate of fire up and going plus get you mobile
Shadow Master - Max
May be kinda clueless henchidiot but it can serve as something for the enemy to shoot at which isnt you
Blade Shield - Max
not just for looks, it helps keep your red guage nice and full which is a good thing
Fade - Season to taste
It can help with resists of your lacking
Cloak of Shadows - I'd say 20 with plus skills
This is gonna be your main "spam attack", by that i mean your not gonna be using it on every boss pack but dropping it before you get your head handed to you on a platter should keep you cranking
GEAR
Just a small word on this guide, Im not gonna tell you what to use and when (that just sucks the fun out of it), Im not gonna assume you
have bots running 24/7 duping outta your rear end (cause that sucks the fun outta that as well). But i will share my sudjestions on what i find works. Should you find something that goes better then more power to ya, if not then its alright either side as well.
This is where the real fun starts, as far as gear goes.
Things to look for:-
Leach (both life and mana)
IAS
F R/W
Resists
Pierce
+plus skills
Enhanced Defence & Damage
+Dex/AR/
DR/PDR/MDR
DS/CS,CB,OW (i mean it couldnt hurt)
Hirelings or "Faithful Hench-idiots"
Guaranteed you will be reaching for a merc, so you will be playing 1 of 2 different play styles. Either you and a act 2 rouge supporting
the shadow master or you supporting either an act 2 town guard, act 5 barb so gear them accordingly.
Apart from that have fun with it, and let me know on what you find out

Not a "ranger" as sorts, this "build" is far from finished.
I have left out the use of venom, cause I personally use it to back fill the bow dmg, and people are free to use what ever gear works for them.|||so you do use venom? i'm confused as to what you're trying to do with this thread. a bowsin isnt unheard of, are you trying to update it or...what?|||Quote:

What i am doing is doing an alternative to what's available for pvm. But its still work in progress mind you.
and with my current build i have skill points to spare for venom, but the skill its self is entirely dependent on the bow of choice.
