help with my C/C MB sin

i have recently decided to venture into the asn realm of things and am determined to make it w/o traps and mostly physical damage and either a sweet SM or some venom to go with these claws : P

skill layout as follows

MA Skills:

max TS

max DC

1pt in CS (incase lifetap and LL arent enough...also can rejuv mana)

1pt in DF (to get out of those sticky situations or jump into them...the poor mans tele :P )

Shadow Disciplines:

Max CM

Max MB (crowd control ftw and maxing gives long stun and higher chance to convert)

1pt BoS

1pt Fade

1pt+ SM (dump points here after lvl80)

OR

1pt+ Venom (dump points here after lvl80)

Traps: NOTHING

Enough str and dex for equipment

All stat points vita, have weapon block at 46% after +skills



**** THE GOOD PART ****

This is where i was really lookin for your guys help...i have two choices for gear. One taking advantage of the 200fhr bp and one taking advantage of 86fhr bp with much higher chances for CB, Open Wounds, and Deadly Strike (btw...how does this interact/stack with Critical chance from Claw Mastery??). I will point out the most beneficial mods on items after both gear setups

So... : ) which do u guys recommend? prolly not work that last frame for fhr bp but thats just me. Being MA asn i will probably be getting hit a lot but CoS&&MB ftw

Do you have any suggestions for the one you do pick??

Also, one last thing...im worried about AR. 90%CB does me no good if i cant hit anything :P ur 2 cents??|||Not exactly the build you had in mind, but the equipment selection should help. I do recommend ditching TS and pumping CM instead though. It is definately do-able without DS.

The Aggressin - DC/DS Assassin Build Guide

ORen_Ishii - Aggressin|||ty : ) the main difference I noticed was his lack of tiger strike adding a whopping +1860%. our gear setups seem to be similar in aspect however i disagree with his use of IAS unless he is using fade and not BoS. With only a level 7 BoS, i only need 10%IAS to hit max bp for normal and TS attacks. I screwed up the first time making gear for this char by hitting 120IAS, just adding BoS to my gear. As I found out with IAS is not calculated this way. Assassins if using BoS and with decent +skills need almost no IAS. This is why i decided to go FHR and nice mods (90%CB, Open Wounds, Deadly Strike/Critical Strike...by the way how are these different?? Will Critical Strike from claw mastery stack with Deadly Strike from gear or are they calculated seperately??)

Only thing I find lacking in this setup is damage output IF EVERY MOD DIDNT PROC (CoS and MB will work great for CC, DF working well for a poor mans tele). Seems to be close to 9k average however picking up a nice Chaos claw could bring this to 15k on average. However this 15k can quickly turn into maybe something like 25k once you factor in the damage being dealt from constant CB, Open Wounds, Deadly Strike, and Critical Strike : ) give me your opinions|||The problem with TS is you get no ED other than from CM when you are charging up. If you release with DC, you only get the benefit of it on the first claw strike. So all in, you get 1390%ED from 1 hit in 5, assuming all hits land. And since the base damage of claws pretty much sucks, 1390% isn't that great. With DC only, you hit faster, applying CB, OW etc faster.|||Quote:

But it still helps kill non boss monsters and it is a melee char so it maxed out TS will not hurt this build at all.
