noob claw questions

so i want to make a pvp ghost sin, but i'm a bit confused about hitting breakpoints. so say i have a fury suwayyah and runic talon chaos. Then after wsm bugging, I just need 19% ias for 9 frame traps, right?

then, for 4 bp ww, a fury suwayyah will reach that because of the 40 ias, and the chaos runic talons will reach it because they're fast, right?

thanks!|||You'll want the base claws swapped. Chaos needs to be the slower claw.

WSM bugging sets the fast claw, the runic, as primary. This is where you want your AR boost, such as Fury (and Fools). You would indeed need 19% IAS, but Fury comes with 40, so you're good.

WW is found by the base WSM, minus IAS% on the weapon. If it passes -13, you hit 4 frame WW. Fury and Chaos claws 100% will always hit this.|||Ah, I see, awesome! Thanks for your help! As a side note, if I use a Fury feral claw and highlord's, I'd also be good for 9 fpa, right?|||http://diablo3.ingame.de/tips/calcs/...p?lang=english

That will calculate almost every IAS breakpoint. I believe the weapon on the boots side gets factored in as well in trap placing speed.|||No, only the primary counts. No IAS calcs account for WSM bugging.

Besides, I find this one to be more interactive. It also has additional info that could be useful.|||Quote:

Trap Laying Speed- 9 frame with Fade. This is one of the most confusing parts of building this Assassin, so Ill take some time to explain the mechanics.

9 FPA is the fastest trap laying can be, and is based on the average Weapon Speed Modifier (WSM) of your two claws. If you look at the base claw types on Arreat Summit, you will see a WSM corresponding to each type, ranging from 10 to -30. The lower the number, the faster the claw. Just like the IAS requirement for attacks is based on what weapon you are using, the trap speed bases the IAS required on the WSM of the claws. However, because the sin is dual-wielding, the average WSM (AWSM for short) is used instead. I.E. the AWSM for a -30 WSM talon and a 0 WSM claw will be -15. For future reference, the primary claw is above the gloves, and the secondary claw is above the boots.

According to his guide both claws are factored in trap laying speed. Even in the calculator you posted, changing the off hand claw with different base speeds changes the IAS required.|||It uses WSM, not IAS.|||What do you mean by that? I said both claws are a factor in calculating trap placing speed, you said only the primary matters. Both claw are used to figure out the average WSM then the IAS required for 9 frames can be calculated.|||Sounded like you were talking about IAS with that link.|||Oh you thought I meant IAS on off weapon counts in trap laying speed? Yea that doesn't. It's just that the OP asked if a Fury main hand and a HL would reach 9 frames I just wanted to inform him/her the off hand weapon speed counts in the calculation too.
